About Us

Who We Are

Founded in 2017, Groomed for Greatness is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves girls ages 5 - 17 in Toledo, Ohio and surrounding areas. We inspire girls to reach their highest potential, and we believe that it is vital to nurture future generations of girls and give them hope for a better future.

What We Do

Groomed for Greatness focuses on personal and professional program initiatives, cultural and self-awareness programs, philanthropy, and community service. These initiatives are designed to equip and empower young girls while instilling in them with the confidence they need to step into the world and create a platform for their futures.

To EMPOWER, INFLUENCE and ENHANCE the lives of girls.

All Groomed for Greatness clubs follow the below curriculum which is presented based on age and comp

  • Etiquette Training
  • Positive self-image
  • Financial literacy (budgeting, saving, banking, credit, )
  • Entrepreneurship (Girl-preneur) skills

In addition to the above, Ambassador Club members also have the following added to their curriculum

  • Relationships and Dating
  • Career Development
  • Interview skills/What to Wear
  • How to deal with being a teen (bullying, social skills, dealing with difficult people and mean girls)

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Michelle McCaster - Founder/Executive Director

Meet Michelle McCaster Founder and dedicated Executive Director of Groomed for Greatness. With a background in healthcare and a passion for mentorship, Michelle founded Groomed for Greatness in 2017 to address the specific needs of girls, particularly those from marginalized communities.


As Executive Director, Michelle leads with purpose, driving the organization's mission to empower girls to reach their highest potential through evidence-based programs and educational initiatives. Her vision is to inspire the next generation of leaders by equipping girls with the skills, confidence, and resources they need to succeed.

William McCaster - Board President

Introducing William McCaster, our esteemed Board President at Groomed for Greatness. With over 20 years of expertise in information technology, cybersecurity, audit, and risk management, William is a cornerstone of our organization. As a father of three girls, William is passionately dedicated to our mission of empowering young women. His leadership, shaped by his experience on nonprofit boards and managing political campaigns, ensures strategic direction and effective governance. Moreover, William has not only served on boards but has also successfully led them, bringing invaluable insights into organizational dynamics. We are privileged to have William steering us as we inspire and uplift the next generation of female leaders.

Jacqueline Hudson - Board Vice-Chair

Introducing Dr. Jacqueline Hudson, our Vice-Chair at Groomed for Greatness. With a PhD in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University, Dr. Hudson brings invaluable expertise and passion to our organization.

As Vice-Chair, Dr. Hudson plays a pivotal role in guiding our mission to empower girls. Her dedication to education and advocacy aligns perfectly with our vision, as we strive to inspire and uplift the next generation of leaders.

Kristal Barham - Board Secretary

Meet Kristal Barham, our meticulous Board Secretary at Groomed for Greatness. With a background in healthcare management and a passion for community activism, Kristal brings invaluable organizational skills to our team. Her dedication is evident through her volunteer work with various organizations, including serving as a Parent Advisor for local girl empowerment groups. With a Master of Public Health and a certificate in Non-Profit Management, Kristal is committed to ensuring efficient operations as we empower and uplift the next generation of girls.

Jermaine Griswold - Board Treasurer

Introducing Jermaine Griswold, our dedicated Board Treasurer at Groomed for Greatness. With 11 years of experience in the financial industry and a BA in Business Administration and Healthcare Administration from Lourdes University, Jermaine brings a wealth of expertise to our organization.

Currently serving as a Branch Manager, Jermaine oversees a banking branch where he assists clients with all personal and business financial needs. His extensive experience and knowledge in financial management make him an ideal candidate for the role of Treasurer, ensuring our organization's fiscal health and integrity.
